About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Occupational Health Specialist in Rome, Italy.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the HSE Manager in identifying OHSE Local Legal and Customer Requirements.
  2. Supervise the correct implementation of Hitachi's activities (includes supplier and subcontractors) in compliance with OHSE Policies, OHSE Legislative requirements, and OHSE Management System.
  3. Mentor and advise the Project manager, Construction Manager, and all Hitachi Staff about OHSE requirements to guarantee OHSE technical and regulatory compliance.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  5. Conduct regular inspections to monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Management, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE Management for Maintenance Railways, Power Supply, Electromechanical Equipment, Transportation, or similar fields.
  • Fully knowledgeable of KSA Standards and Codes applicable to the works and continuously updated for any changes in regulations and laws.
  • Preferred NEBOSH, IOSH certifications.
