Key Responsibilities

The Customs Taxation Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs laws and procedures, conducting thorough examinations of traders' records, and gathering necessary data for desk audits.

The ideal candidate will have experience in taxation and a strong understanding of customs laws and procedures.

  • Examine the validity of documents presented by traders, including bills of entry, import declarations, and invoices.
  • Verify accuracy of submitted records and ensure completeness of required documentations prior to duty assessment.
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary data and clarify any discrepancies.
  • Develop and update assessment templates and audit tools in accordance with operational procedures and policies.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification, as well as 1 year of relevant experience.
