About the Role:
A highly skilled Architectural Design Lead is required to oversee and manage the creation of neighborhood master plans and architectural designs for various asset types in THE LINE Neighborhoods.

Responsibilities
  • Design Guidance: Provide expert guidance to designers, reviewing designs to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Design Coordination: Arrange and/or facilitate design coordination and review meetings and workshops.
  • Design Management: Oversee Design Management Coordination, including Core Real Estate Asset Design, Non-Common Asset Design, Façade Design, Sustainability, and Public Realm Design.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance of design and implementation of the Vision for the Line.
  • Compliance Management: Manage compliance with Design and Deliverables Requirements, Development Control Regulations (DCRs), and Design KPIs.
  • Risk Management: Manage Design KPI Register, Risk Register, and Safety in Design Register.
  • Design Review: Manage Design Review comments and responses, and Stage Review comment close-out.
  • Interface Management: Support Design Directors in the coordination of Interfaces with the City, between different Neighborhoods, and with Anchor Assets.
  • Design Implementation: Manage the design in accordance with the development program and Initial Asset Briefs.
  • Gatekeeper: Design Review: Gatekeeper for the qualitative architectural design review.

Accountabilities
  • Neighborhood Design Management: Design Management Coordination on a neighborhood level.
  • Creative and Technical Design: Ensure Creative and Technical Design quality are implemented on a neighborhood level.
  • Requirements Compliance: Ensure Requirements Compliance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Cost Consultants to ensure emerging designs are meeting budget targets.
  • Design Management Registers: Manage Design management registers:
    • Assumptions, Issues, Design Change & Decisions Register.
    • Resource Register.
    • RFI Register.
  • Monthly Reporting: Creation of Monthly Design Report.
  • CRS Management: CRS Management: comments and responses during design review.

Requirements
  • Experience: 15+ years of post-undergraduate outstanding architectural design and management experience.
  • Proven Experience: Proven related experience in an Architectural Practice, including management of international design consultants across sectors and typologies.
  • Design Experience: Design experience in various architectural types: residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc.
  • Construction Experience: Construction experience is preferred.
  • Project Experience: Extensive project experience with emphasis on large projects and complex programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized university.
  • Postgraduate Degree: Postgraduate in Architecture or Urban Design.
  • International Accreditation: International accreditation (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent).
  • Sustainability Certification: The achievement of sustainability certification (LEED, PQP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
