Job Summary:

The Plastic Surgery Consultant is responsible for providing specialized surgical care for patients requiring reconstructive or cosmetic procedures. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a variety of conditions, including trauma, burns, congenital defects, and aesthetic concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and Treat Patients: Diagnose and treat patients requiring plastic surgery, including reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
  2. Perform Surgical Procedures: Perform surgical procedures such as reconstructive surgeries for trauma and burns, as well as aesthetic surgeries for appearance improvement.
  3. Provide Expert Consultations: Provide expert consultations on surgical and non-surgical options for patients.
  4. Develop Treatment Plans: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on diagnostic assessments.
  5. Monitor Patient Progress: Monitor post-operative progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  6. Supervise and Mentor: Supervise and mentor resident doctors in plastic surgery techniques.
  7. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care, recovery, and lifestyle adjustments.
  8. Stay Updated: Stay updated on the latest advancements in plastic surgery to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
  9. Compliance and Quality: Adhere to hospital policies and ensure compliance with medical quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Medical Qualifications: Doctorate or Fellowship in Plastic Surgery.
  • Valid License: Preferably has a valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-doctorate or fellowship experience in plastic surgery.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgical techniques.
