Job Description

The Rehabilitation Technician 2 provides direct and indirect patient care to multiple patients under the supervision of professional staff. This role requires strong customer service skills and experience working with children who are medically fragile or have disabilities.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform department upkeep tasks, including preparation of treatment areas and submission of work orders.
  2. Maintain equipment, assemble/disassemble as needed.
  3. Track inventory and stock supplies.
  4. Document patient treatment lists on Excel/Word.
  5. Transport patients to/from therapy sessions.
  6. Supervise patients during breaks.
  7. Provide direct/indirect patient care under therapist supervision (casting, transfers, toileting, dressing, bathing, positioning, gait training, assistance with groups).
  8. Coordinate care between disciplines, providers, and family members.
  9. Patient scheduling and pool chemical checks/balances.
  10. Update patient electronic medical records as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a rehab setting, preferably working with children who are medically fragile or have disabilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software.
  • BLS certification required.
