Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and effective repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance work, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
- Team Management & Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise maintenance staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance. Ensure that staff follow safety protocols and company policies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Equipment & Facility Management: Oversee the upkeep of machinery, HVAC/PLC systems, electrical, piping, and building infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA and other regulatory requirements, conducting routine inspections for safety hazards and equipment failures. Implement and enforce workplace safety programs, promoting a safe working environment.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage the maintenance department's budget, controlling costs related to repairs, replacements, and labor. Evaluate and approve maintenance-related expenditures, prioritizing value-added activities.
- Continuous Improvement & Reporting: Identify opportunities to enhance maintenance processes and reduce downtime, maintaining records of maintenance work, inspections, and compliance reports. Provide regular updates to senior management on maintenance performance, setting and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards for improvement.
