We are looking for an experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to join our team. This role requires someone with robust technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to manual testing.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating test automation tasks, engaging with software engineering teams to ensure high-quality applications. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, ensuring timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts, providing assistance in the development of the test automation framework when necessary.
  • Execute various testing methodologies, including black box, user interface, regression, functional, and integration testing.
  • Formulate test cases and scenarios derived from requirements and design documents, ensuring optimal traceability.
  • Complete User Acceptance Tests (UATs) periodically to ensure applications remain bug-free.
  • Operate effectively within revised deadlines, acquiring proficiency in novel technologies and applying them to projects as needed.
  • Review malfunctioning scripts or test suites, collaborating with the automation team to troubleshoot execution issues.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the software industry, including QA methodologies and software testing.
  • Excellent understanding of test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium/Cypress, Appium/Espresso/XCUITest.
  • At least 3 years of experience in using UI test automation tools, good understanding of Load/Stress testing, and tools like Jmeter/Locust.
  • Excellent understanding of version control systems and team collaboration tools like Git & Gerrit.
  • Good understanding of software testing principles, techniques, verification, validation, test automation, and defect management.
  • Experience in writing test automation strategy and test plans, strong familiarity with Agile Software Development Approach, Java/other OO languages, native apps, and mobile environment.
  • Able to analyze crash logs, backtraces, and assist engineers by utilizing basic debugging techniques.
  • Fluent English in both verbal and written communication.
