About the Role:
The Chiller Technician will be responsible for implementing day-to-day HVAC maintenance operations assigned by the team leader/engineer. This includes monitoring and maintaining all chillers, cooling towers, etc. to ensure smooth running of production lines and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement day-to-day HVAC maintenance operations assigned by the team leader/engineer.
- Monitor and maintain all chillers, cooling towers, etc. to ensure smooth running of production lines and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot all types of HVAC equipment including chillers, chilled water systems, cooling towers, package units, split A/C, window A/C, refrigeration, electro/mechanical systems, etc., using testing & measuring equipment, hand tools, power tools, etc.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities according to defined schedules.
- Coordinate the service of contractors and ensure that the work is completed as per the contract & units are in good running condition.
- Complete work orders, task lists, and documents to verify work performed & update.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair HVAC equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings and execute the work.
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality, health, and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- 5 - 10 years of industrial experience in troubleshooting & repair of HVAC chiller systems, preferably on Trane/Carrier/York equipment.
- Age 35 – 40 years (maximum).
- Three-year diploma in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (ACR) or two-year certificate from Industrial Training Institute.
