Ejada Systems Limited seeks a seasoned Data Protection Specialist to spearhead the development and implementation of its data privacy framework. This role will require strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.

About the Role
  • This position will play a key role in establishing and maintaining Ejada's RoPA register, ensuring that all processing activities are captured and governed.
  • The successful candidate will provide inputs into suitable data retention requirements for personal data and ensure retention periods are applied and followed across Ejada.
  • This individual will assess and validate security controls captured during the RoPA exercise and ensure they maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data across Ejada.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will manage and oversee customer and employee consent requests and ensure they are fulfilled in line with KSA PDPL.
  • This person will oversee Data Subject Requests and ensure they are resolved in line with KSA PDPL.
  • They will continuously review personal data breach management policies and monitor for personal data breaches to ensure associated risks are managed and notifications to the relevant regulator made.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will develop a Data Privacy related Risk Appetite statement and conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) for high-risk processing activities.
  • This individual will monitor and maintain a third-party list where personal data is being shared outside of Ejada.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will review existing contracts with third parties to identify the involvement of personal data processing and ensure the data privacy clause is embedded in the contracts aligned with applicable jurisdictional privacy regulations.
  • This person will ensure that the contracts which involve the processing of personal data include provisions governing that processing and, where applicable, provisions ensuring appropriate safeguards when Personal Data is transferred out of any jurisdiction(s).
  • The Data Protection Specialist will identify and drive mitigation plans for the privacy-related risks stemming from the use of third parties.
  • This individual will lead the data sharing mandate under NDMO for Ejada and report directly to executive management on the initiatives, compliance with NDMO standard, awareness campaigns, and risks associated with publishing open data.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will conduct Data Sharing training for every employee involved in the Data Sharing initiatives to ensure that they understand their obligations, responsibilities, and the consequences of unauthorized disclosure or mishandling of data.
  • This person will develop and enforce a Data Sharing Process and Data Sharing Agreement.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will define and follow an Internal Data Sharing agreement template to be used when data is shared within Ejada.
  • This individual will inform and advise the business and its employees of their compliance obligations specific to data privacy laws.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will support the deployment of deep subject matter expertise around Data risk and Data privacy within Ejada.
  • This person will cooperate with the regulatory authority.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will act as the contact point internally and externally for data protection and privacy with data subjects and the regulatory authority, and report on risk and control profile.
  • This individual will engage with risk owners, control owners, and risk stewards to ensure Data risk and Data privacy are managed in accordance with policy.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to ensure that Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is appropriately protected.
  • This person will collaborate on data privacy policies, processes, and procedures.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will implement controls to mitigate risks, deliver privacy training, and use technologies that uphold privacy protections and compliance.
  • This individual will lead planning, design, and evaluation of data protection and privacy projects.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will develop procedures for reporting privacy violations, create training materials, and manage vendor compliance inspections. Align with senior management on data privacy compliance for new products and services.
  • This person will act as the information privacy liaison and report breaches to senior management.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will regularly report the status of the data privacy program to senior management and committees.
  • This individual will resolve noncompliance allegations promptly.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will establish and maintain a data privacy risk management and compliance framework, including an internal audit program.
  • This person will update the data privacy program to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or policies.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will ensure cybersecurity plans align with privacy practices.
  • This individual will identify and address privacy compliance gaps.
  • The Data Protection Specialist will perform any other related duties that might be assigned by high management.
