Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Engineer to join our team at Life1 International. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and directing drilling engineering functions to support complex drilling operations and leading major drilling engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drilling Engineering and Optimization: Develop cost analysis, drilling and workover programs, and completion reports to optimize drilling efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Engineering Studies and Analysis: Perform engineering optimization studies based on offset data and drilling performance to increase efficiency and improve drilling outcomes.
  3. Casing and Completion Design: Develop casing and completion design, and assist in testing new mud materials, treatments, and cementing practices to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations.
  4. Standard Development Practices: Prepare standard development practices and procedures to ensure maximum drilling efficiency while considering safety, economics, and reservoir preservation.
  5. Technical Support and Consulting: Consult with management and operating divisions on drilling and completion equipment design, purchase, and operational problems.
  6. Project Engineering: Serve as Project Engineer on all activities involved in the operation and construction of new or existing wells.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience, recognized as a Senior Drilling Engineer in the field.
  • Work Environment: Willingness to work in remote areas occasionally and overnight in mobile camps.
Benefits

This is a regular 5x2 job, working 40 hours/week. The successful candidate will receive a 1-year renewable contract, 30 days paid vacation, and a round-trip ticket.
