We are seeking an exceptional Principal (Manager level) to join our Biotech Investment Team. This role demands a blend of expertise in medical sciences and biotechnology, experience in venture capital investments, and a fervent desire to drive forward the boundaries of innovation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in identifying and nurturing groundbreaking investment opportunities that align with NEOM's visionary objectives.

• Strategic Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage with international investment opportunities in biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and industrial biotech. Leverage your extensive network, industry conferences, and the broader VC ecosystem to unearth ventures that promise high-value returns and transformative potential.
• Deal Execution: Collaborate with the NEOM biotech investment team to oversee due diligence, negotiate key transaction terms, and seamlessly close deals.
• Portfolio Synergy: Serve as a strategic partner, guiding NEOM's portfolio companies through challenges and opportunities.
• Communication Excellence: Ensure transparent, timely, and effective communication within the NEOM ecosystem.
• Network Expansion and Relationship Management: Contribute to expanding NEOM's network, connecting with investors, incubators, research institutions, and industry luminaries.
• Brand and Operational Leadership: Amplify NEOM's brand within the global biotech and VC communities.

• 5 to 15 years of professional experience in drug development and/or biotech venture investing.
• Demonstrable passion for and knowledge of cutting-edge scientific research and medical innovations.
• Solid VC investment experience, showcasing your ability to identify and nurture high-potential ventures.
• Direct experience of working in top-tier global biotech hubs, with a strong network across leading global biotech hubs.
• Understanding of capital markets, business modelling, contract negotiation, and finance principles.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the capacity to engage effectively across international and cross-cultural environments.
• Willingness to live and work at the NEOM community in Saudi Arabia and engage in frequent international travel.
