We are seeking an experienced Cartography Specialist to join our team at Engineering Careers & Mobility. As a key member of our GIS team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, accurate, and visually appealing maps that meet our clients' needs. Your duties will include converting spatial data into various formats, collaborating with senior GIS professionals to support decision-making processes through geospatial data management and analysis, and utilizing your expertise in geographic information systems to analyze and interpret complex data sets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Convert spatial data between various GIS formats as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior GIS professionals to support decision-making processes.
  • Utilize expertise in geographic information systems to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Design and produce clear, interpretable maps adhering to cartographic standards.
  • Prepare metadata and data dictionaries for data delivery and archival processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3 years of professional experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Proficiency in Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro.
  • Strong experience in managing environmental databases.
  • Ability to work effectively in both field and office settings.
  • Preferred experience in Python scripting, JavaScript, and ArcPy.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new GIS technologies and methodologies.
