Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish an effective classroom environment that fosters active participation from students.
  • Support the development of social competencies in children, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Assist in morning and school duties, maintaining a sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Communicate with parents through written reports and regular consultations, ensuring transparency and open dialogue.
  • Keep materials, resources, and equipment organized and well-maintained in the classroom.
  • Display students' work professionally and document their progress, showcasing achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with all class members, promoting respect, inclusivity, and a sense of community.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of school events such as Sports Day, performances, Graduation celebrations, and cultural activities.
  • Attend staff meetings to stay informed and contribute ideas.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching Islamic Studies at the primary level, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history, with the ability to explain concepts engagingly.
  • Proficiency in Tajweed and the ability to teach Qur'anic memorization.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (bilingual ability preferred).
  • Familiarity with international curricula is an advantage.
