Key Responsibilities

As a senior cost control specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of project controls for large-scale projects. This includes direct and indirect costs, as well as establishing and implementing effective cost control systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to analyze project performance data and provide accurate forecasts and reports to stakeholders.

  • Manage project control activities, including cost engineering, cost estimating, planning, and scheduling for large-scale projects
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project control processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact project timelines or budgets
  • Lead and mentor a team of project control professionals
  • Continuously improve project control methodologies and tools
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in project controls, with 15+ years preferred
  • Proven track record of managing project controls for large-scale projects
  • Thorough knowledge of cost engineering, cost estimating, planning, and scheduling techniques
  • Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management and control software
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
