About the Role

As a Material Planner at Hitachi Vantara Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and production processes. Your primary responsibility will be to manage inventory levels, coordinate with production planning and supply chain management teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Monitor production requirements, coordinate with production planning and SCM teams to ensure material availability, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with buyers to obtain the best possible on-time delivery and lead-time, and communicate with third-party warehouses to ensure material availability in production lines.
  • Inventory Analysis: Analyze excess and obsolete or aging inventory, and take appropriate action to optimize inventory performance in collaboration with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and procurement and logistics teams.
  • Financial Risk Management: Conduct financial risk assessments and make decisions relating to inventory, and conduct root cause analysis when necessary.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or high diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizing skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Language: Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
