About the Opportunity:

The Senior Product Designer at Gathern will be responsible for designing and improving the user experience of our products. This includes leading the design process from concept to implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration with product goals.

User Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze user feedback, market trends, and competitor products to inform design decisions, driving innovation and excellence.

Conceptualization and Ideation:

  • Develop innovative design concepts and ideas that align with product objectives, leveraging your expertise in mobile-first and responsive design principles.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and goals, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Wireframing and Prototyping:

  • Create detailed wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Iterate on designs based on user testing, feedback, and development constraints, driving continuous improvement and refinement.

Visual Design:

  • Develop high-fidelity visual designs that incorporate branding elements and enhance the overall aesthetics of the product, aligning with our company's vision and values.
  • Work closely with the UI/UX team to ensure consistency across all design elements, maintaining a cohesive brand identity.

Usability Testing:

  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather valuable feedback on design iterations, informing data-driven design decision-making.
  • Use usability findings to refine and improve the user experience, ensuring seamless navigation and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 4 years' proven experience as a product designer with a strong emphasis on mobile app design, showcasing a portfolio of mobile app projects.
  • Expertise in mobile-first and responsive design principles, with a solid understanding of user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience working with agile and iterative design processes, particularly in the mobile app development context.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with B2C business models and an understanding of mobile app user behavior.
  • Adept at A/B testing and data-driven design decision-making, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
