About the Position

This is a key role in our organization, responsible for ensuring the integrity of our operations through the development of policies, guidelines, procedures, and tools that support effective financial management systems. The successful candidate will work closely with member countries to enhance their project financial management systems and promote the adoption of country systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, economics, or business administration and a minimum of 8 years of experience in project finance, auditing, risk management, or a related field. Proficiency in project management, operational policies, project financial management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project financial management policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with regional hubs and teams to address public financial management and governance issues in member countries.
  • Design and execute major public financial management policy initiatives in member countries.
  • Develop and disseminate knowledge and best practices in projects and public financial management.
  • Assist in reviewing audit reports to ensure compliance with IDB's financial management policies and guidelines.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project finance, auditing, risk management, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent accounting certification preferred.
  • Excellent project management, operational policy, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
