As an Electrical Site Engineer (Industrial Automation) with SD Middle East LLC Branch Saudi Arabia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Your primary responsibility will be to support site managers in electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment across various projects in the region.

Key Tasks:

  • Guide and educate sub-contractors on installation best practices.
  • Collaborate with the proposals department to provide inputs for upcoming projects and share lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with the Construction and Procurement departments to identify tools and consumables required for site execution.
  • Analyze specification and design drawings to ensure electrical installations meet approved material submittals.
  • Design, develop, and test electrical industrial control systems; create electrical design documents for parts, assemblies, and products.
  • Take ownership of deliverables as a technical project leader.
  • Ensure all project quality procedures applicable to design are followed to meet design needs and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop knowledge of engineering-based CAD software to complete and modify drawings.
  • Prepare work packages for site installation teams.
  • Monitor and report site progress.
  • Support quality team with inspections, closing out snag points, and eventual handover to clients.
  • Fulfill occupational health, safety, security, environment, and quality responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical installation practices in Industrial automation, specifically in Baggage Handling or Material Handling Systems.
  • Hands-on experience in AutoCAD, REVIT, and ePlan.
  • PLC knowledge is advantageous.
  • Ability to read, understand, and evaluate electrical schematics to identify errors or potential improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design and installation practices.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage internal & external stakeholders and work in multiple cultural teams.
  • Willingness to work on projects outside KSA.
  • Fluent in English, Arabic or other languages an advantage.
