Job OverviewBlack Pearl is seeking a highly skilled Registered Midwife to join our team in Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional maternity care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prenatal Care: Conduct thorough assessments, including physical examinations, health history reviews, and diagnostic tests, to monitor the progress of pregnancy and identify any potential complications.
- Childbirth Support: Provide counseling and support to expectant mothers and their families regarding prenatal care, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Newborn Care: Perform newborn assessments, including APGAR scoring, vital sign monitoring, and initial feeding support, to ensure the health and well-being of the infant.
- Postpartum Care: Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including breastfeeding assistance, maternal recovery monitoring, and newborn screening tests.
- Education and Support: Educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding techniques, postpartum recovery, and contraception options to promote optimal maternal and infant health outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and newborns.
- Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care provided to patients.
- Professional Development: Stay current on developments in obstetrics, midwifery practices, and maternal-fetal medicine through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Midwifery from an Accredited School of Nursing/University OR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with additional Midwifery qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Clinical Nursing and 2 years experience as Registered Midwife.
- Licensure: Must be eligible to take the SCFHS exam and preferably with valid SCFHS Nursing Specialist/Technician license/certificate.
- Language: Proficient in English.
