Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Specialist to join our team at Rotana Hotels. As an Air Conditioning Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing temperature and air quality control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Maintenance: Repair, maintain, and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, chillers, and other equipment.
• Preventive Maintenance: Maintain all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Performance Monitoring: Check the performance of refrigeration systems and components to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
• Door and Defrosting Systems: Verify the proper functioning of door closing systems on walk-in coolers and freezers, including door gaskets and latches, and check and maintain all defrosting systems and automation of ice makers.
• Maintenance Requests: Respond to maintenance requests from all departments and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters to maintain air quality and system efficiency.
• System Performance: Check the performance of air-conditioning and chill water systems to ensure they are operating within optimal parameters.
• Collaboration: Cooperate with engineering colleagues to identify and resolve issues with air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, and work together to set up and maintain systems.
• Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict control on the venting of CFCs to the atmosphere and comply with all relevant country technical regulations and safety standards.
• Equipment Overhaul: Overhaul air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems to ensure they are in good working order.
• Repair and Maintenance: Check all refrigeration and oil levels, and control major repairs to ensure that all systems are functioning properly.
• Inventory Management: Cooperate with the Engineering Storekeeper to ensure that all necessary parts are purchased and available for maintenance and repairs.
