Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen/Laundry Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's kitchen and laundry facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Assist in the coordination of all maintenance and repairs of the facilities and equipment, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, air conditioning & refrigeration, laundry & kitchen equipment, solar systems, and boiler systems.
  • Guest Interaction: Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest needs, and communicate with different types of people to comprehend their requirements and provide them with information and assistance.
  • Work Order Management: Check for new maintenance requests from the Property Management System (PMS) and update remarks once the task is completed. Update the maintenance work order form/job card and file them.
  • Safety and Security: Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Sustainability: Implement eco-friendly practices, educate guests/colleagues on sustainable initiatives, and continuously seek ways to minimize the hotel's environmental footprint.
  • Requirements: Hospitality background (4-5 star hotel), good communication skills, and transferable Iqama.
