About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering BIM Specialist to join our team at Duncan & Ross. As a key member of our digital engineering department, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and updating 3D models of construction projects using BIM software.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in BIM, particularly with 4D and 5D integration, and experience using BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and update 3D models of construction projects using BIM software.
  • Integrate time-based scheduling data into the BIM model to create 4D simulations (time-based visualizations).
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules using BIM tools to visualize construction progress and detect potential schedule conflicts.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to update project schedules as needed.
  • Generate 4D simulations for construction sequences and project milestones to support planning and decision-making.
  • Integrate cost data (materials, labor, equipment) into the BIM model to enable 5D cost estimation and tracking.
  • Work with quantity surveyors and cost managers to generate accurate cost estimates based on the BIM model.
  • Update and monitor project budgets and costs through 5D integration, ensuring accuracy and real-time cost tracking.
  • Provide training and support for team members in using 4D and 5D BIM tools.
  • Perform quality checks on the integrated 4D and 5D data to ensure consistency and accuracy in scheduling and cost estimation.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in BIM, Project Management, or related areas are a plus.
  • Proven experience in BIM, particularly with 4D and 5D integration.
  • Experience using BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar.
  • Experience with project management and cost estimation software.
