Job Description:

The Cost Estimation Engineer plays a vital role in our organization, responsible for accurately estimating project costs to ensure successful project planning and execution. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and analytical skills to assess project specifications, materials, labor, and other associated costs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  2. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary data for accurate estimations.
  3. Conduct market research to identify current material and labor costs.
  4. Prepare and present cost reports and estimates to stakeholders.
  5. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget.
  6. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations.
  7. Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines.
  8. Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals.
  9. Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.
  10. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all cost estimation processes.
