Role Overview

Rixos is seeking a seasoned Director of People and Culture to spearhead our People and Culture team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our People and Culture strategy, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the success of our hotel operations.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage personnel files, including hiring, transfers, promotions, and resignations
• Compile operational staffing schedules and manning guides in coordination with the General Manager
• Compile accident statistics and handle relevant reports
• Designate executive positions and update personnel manuals
• Ensure adherence to legal regulations and work permits for foreign expatriate employees
• Conduct job application correspondence and file documents
• Coordinate yearly performance evaluations
• Organize long service awards and diplomas
• Manage insurance administration and notify superiors of deviations
• Provide ongoing information to personnel regarding problems, changes, and news
• Obtain necessary hotel licenses for smooth operations
• Ensure proper job descriptions are available for all functions
• Supervise adherence to remuneration guidelines and discuss deviations with the General Manager
• Analyze the working atmosphere and discuss improvements with Department Heads and supervisors
• Act as a Godfather and counsel employees in personal and professional matters
• Conduct exit interviews with resigning employees to establish reason patterns
• Inform personnel and supervisors of important events and news
• Organize social and leisure activities for employees
• Maintain staff accommodation and conduct regular inspection tours
• Coordinate with the Director of Finance for payroll and other finance-related matters
• Establish monthly reports according to requirements
• Maintain a monthly overview of vacation and public holiday balances for all staff


Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience in a senior People and Culture management role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite
