Position Overview:
The Lead Nuclear Medicine Specialist provides expert medical care within the specialty, operating under the guidance of the Consultant while adhering to established medical staff regulations and the policies of the National Blood and Cancer Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes advanced medical techniques and principles under the supervision of the Consultant, ensuring compassionate care for a diverse patient demographic.
  • Communicates any concerns or issues to the Consultant in a timely manner.
  • Maintains strict compliance with medical care standards and safety protocols.
  • Delivers essential patient management and care within the nuclear medicine specialty, as directed by the Consultant.
  • Conducts thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and detailed case history documentation.
  • Participates in on-call duties for the specialty, covering evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Engages in tumor boards, ward rounds, and specialty clinics according to the established schedule.
  • Monitors outpatient investigation results and modifies treatment plans as necessary.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals and performs diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Handles equipment and radioactive materials with utmost responsibility, ensuring adherence to safety measures.
  • Informs patients about procedures comprehensively and performs necessary verification checks.
  • Maintains all required licenses, ongoing training, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Records and manages radioactive materials and waste accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Medical degree and board certification in nuclear medicine.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in nuclear medicine, with at least 5 years in the KSA region.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate a compassionate and supportive approach to patient care.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Must hold BLS certification along with MOH registration and SCFHS licensing.
