JASARA Program Management Company is seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist to support the implementation and monitoring of our health and safety policies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards on-site.
The HSE Specialist will work closely with site management and personnel to identify hazards, implement controls, conduct training, and promote awareness of health, safety, and environmental practices. This role is crucial for fostering a culture of safety and ensuring that our projects are delivered without incidents.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote health, safety, and environmental awareness
- Collaborate with site management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain accurate records of HSE activities and incidents
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in construction or related industries
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Strong observational and analytical skills for identifying safety hazards and risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with personnel at all levels
- Ability to conduct safety training and presentations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus
