Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include conducting site visits to assess soil and rock conditions, monitoring rock slopes for signs of instability, and identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation measures. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports summarizing inspection findings and project progress, collaborating closely with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all geotechnical requirements are understood and quality standards are upheld, and maintaining accurate records of all inspections. Additionally, you will oversee and inspect the application of shotcrete, identify cavities, and recommend methods for remediation and reinforcement.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 15 years of geotechnical inspection experience, with a strong emphasis on rock slopes, geohazards, slope mapping, and mitigation measures. You will also need expertise in geotechnical engineering principles, including rock slope stabilization, shotcrete application, cavity remediation, and other mitigation techniques. A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, as is registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers in a relevant category. Precision in conducting inspections and analyzing data, strong understanding of rock mechanics, and effective verbal and written communication skills are also essential requirements for this position.
