Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. As an Industrialization Standards Deployment Specialist, you will be responsible for the deployment of industrialization standards in coordination with the Business Unit, following the manufacturing policy and respective standards.

Functional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct work measurement for new products or review existing ones, calculating routing time based on certified motion and work content studies.
  • Establish process planning for manufacturing, optimizing resources (machines or manpower) while considering quality and cost.
  • Conduct make-or-buy analysis to identify efficient production processes, weighing pros and cons for each scenario for Business Unit decision-making.
  • Validate requests for new production equipment requirements from the Business Unit, prepare business cases, and plan layout and infrastructure needs.
  • Identify opportunities for automation application, prepare technical specifications, obtain quotations, and lead execution from nomination to FAT and handover.
  • Prepare manufacturing process-related documents guiding operators to execute work efficiently (e.g., failure mode and effect analysis, work instructions, job cards).
  • Determine component of cost structure in coordination with production and finance to derive accurate product costing.
  • Develop improvements in manufacturing process in coordination with operations team to reduce costs through reduced production time and waste elimination.
  • Monitor productivity at different stages by reviewing daily work outputs to determine procedural problems.
  • Investigate variances with production and finance teams affecting optimized usage of manpower, machine, or material.
  • Coordinate implementation of recognized best manufacturing practices with Business Unit and monitor deployment effectiveness (e.g., 6S, Kaizen).

General Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work. Delegate tasks effectively to maintain morale and motivation. Ensure fair distribution of tasks and utilize resources efficiently to achieve objectives within cost and time constraints. Provide regular reports detailing deviations and planned tasks execution. Resolve related problems and escalate complex operational issues. Ensure quality requirements and coordinate effective quality control processes.
