The Operational Readiness and Airport Transition (ORAT) Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth transition of airport operations from construction to full operational status.

This position involves coordinating with project teams, stakeholders, including airport authorities, airlines, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to guarantee that all operational systems, processes, and personnel are ready for new or refurbished airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive ORAT plans and schedules.
  2. Collaborate with project teams to synchronize construction milestones with operational readiness requirements.
  3. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication to ensure all parties are informed and prepared for transition activities.
  4. Conduct operational readiness assessments and identify potential risks or issues.
  5. Organize trials, simulations, and training exercises to validate operational readiness.
  6. Maintain compliance with relevant aviation regulations and standards.
  7. Monitor and report on ORAT progress, providing regular updates to senior management.
  8. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen issues during the transition.
  9. Support the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
  10. Assist in the handover process, ensuring all documentation and operational systems are in place and functioning correctly.
