Sales Director Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our team. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading our sales team and driving revenue growth through the execution of sales strategies.
You will develop a deep understanding of our hotel's sales vision, including its products, services, and rate structure. You will actively sell all attributes of the hotel, including conference facilities and food and beverage features.
Collaboration with the Director of Revenue is essential to ensure room night and revenue targets are appropriately supported. You will also identify major accounts and business opportunities through strategic planning.
As a Sales Director, you will review weekly forecasts and market share reports to ensure business levels and market share are maintained. Maximizing hotel revenue through effective pricing, space management, and conversion is also a key responsibility.
In addition, you will promote the hotel's food and beverage outlets to increase revenue from conference and incentive segments. Establishing a high profile across the region and with key accounts is also critical.
Finally, you will lead a dynamic team of professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
Key Qualifications
To succeed as a Sales Director, you will need:
- 5+ years' experience in senior sales and marketing roles, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Proven experience working with owners and senior management.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and presentation.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
