Job Description

The Senior Credit Administrator is responsible for reviewing documentation, credit control, and management information systems (MIS) related activities for First Abu Dhabi Bank's Consumer & Private Banking business post-credit sanctions/approvals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Documentation:
  • Processing and authorization of daily work assigned to ensure a smooth flow of day-to-day activities and transactions.
  • Maintaining credit facility files with relevant documents received from coverage teams, scanning facility documentation before recording it in the vault for safe custody.
  • Reviewing standard and non-standard documentation, syndicated agreements, facility offer letters, security-related documents, internal and external legal opinions, and other condition precedent documents in compliance with sanctioned credit approvals.
  • Ensuring all security/support documents have been properly executed, signatures verified, and authenticity supported by resolution/POA.
  • Coordinating with CAD-International teams in Head Office/Product Specialists/Coverage and Credit Teams as required to complete documentation processes/limit releases in the Bank's Systems.
  • Ensuring approval from relevant authorities for deferrals/waivers of incomplete documents.
  • Rectifying existing discrepancies/deficiencies in documentation.
  • Reviewing documentation deficiency reports and following up on timely submission/renewal.
  • Lodging documents and updating collateral data in the Bank's system.
  • Verifying and confirming periodically that all required security/support documents are physically held in safe custody and performing periodic clean-up of old/obsolete facility/security documents upon settlement.
Credit Limit and Control:
  • Authorizing credit limits and ensuring accurate detailing before inputting into the Bank's System.
  • Maintaining accuracy regarding application of interest rates, commission, charges, and various types of fees.
  • Maintaining and reviewing credit limits periodically and at every annual review date in the Systems.
  • Reviewing instructions for provisioning of accounts, customer grade changes, suspension of interest changes, and write-off entries and loan disbursements.
  • Authorizing/reviewing up-to-date interest rates codes in the Bank's System.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders and working closely with HO on limit allocations.
Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reporting:
  • Validating and ensuring accurate and timely internal and regulatory reporting.
  • Reviewing reports relating to collateral, documentation deficiencies, and other relevant reports.
  • Collaborating with IT on system enhancements as and when required.
  • Delivering on any other reports requested by CAD-HO and Management.
  • Periodically reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Credit Administration Department and providing suggestions for improvement from a risk and control perspective.
  • Assisting Unit Heads in completing Annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) for CAD USA.
  • Assisting Unit Heads in ensuring timely closure of internal and external audit observations.
  • Ensuring completion of mandatory training requested by the Bank from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or any relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 7-8 years' experience with at least 5 years in Credit Admin function and legal documentation within a Financial Institution, preferably with International experience across multinational banks, extensive experience, and involvement in credit approval processes.
  • Innovative, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • High integrity and business ethics.
  • Solid experience and knowledge in Credit Admin Functions and legal documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Banking sector, client's sectors, industries, and market trends.
  • Very good knowledge of Banking Products/Corporate Credit Administration functions.
