Asterix Communications seeks a seasoned Chief Engineer to oversee the management of all engineering and maintenance operations. This key role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading the emergency response team.

1. Manage Property Operations: Supervise engineering staff, manage the physical plant, and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
2. Engineering Budget Management: Manage departmental expenses, establish priorities for maintenance needs, and ensure on-going communication with employees.
3. Maintain Property Standards: Maintain accurate logs and records, plan and evaluate preventative maintenance programs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
4. Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Handle guest problems and complaints, empower employees to provide excellent customer service, and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
5. Manage Profitability: Establish priorities for total property maintenance needs, ensure on-going communication, and create awareness of business objectives and expectations.
6. Manage and Conduct Human Resources Activities: Celebrate successes, establish and maintain open relationships with employees, ensure fair and equitable treatment, and provide feedback based on observation of service behaviors.

1. High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
2. OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
