Job Summary

Antal International is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Ophthalmology Consultant to lead our pediatric ophthalmology department. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance on eye care services, collaborate with medical professionals to optimize pediatric patient care, drive training and development initiatives, and oversee the implementation of best practices in ophthalmic services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality pediatric ophthalmology care to patients, utilizing your expertise in this area of medicine.
  2. Provide consultative services as requested by our medical team.
  3. Supervise and mentor fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents to ensure they receive comprehensive training and support.
  4. Participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in your area of expertise, contributing to the development of our team's skills and knowledge.
  5. Collaborate with our medical professionals to participate in research activities, driving innovation and excellence in pediatric ophthalmology.
  6. Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our department.
  7. Perform special procedures as privileged, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients.
  8. Adhere to all hospital-related policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned by our management team.

Required Qualifications

Education

  1. Hold a medical degree from a reputable institution.
  2. Completion of a required period of training in pediatric ophthalmology.
  3. Hold Saudi Arab or American/European Board Certification or equivalent.
  4. Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent, fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
  5. Hold a certificate recognized by the Saudi commission, and Dataflow certification is a must.

Professional Experience

  1. Minimum 3-4 years of post-board/fellowship experience in the specialty.
  2. Be a registered member of the Saudi Board Council.

Language

  1. Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
