Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Site Management: Assist in the introduction of new construction methods, equipment, and machinery to improve MEP services, and ensure Mechanical work is implemented within budgeted time, cost, and quality standards.
  2. Resource Optimization: Optimize manpower, equipment, and materials allocation, and ensure no materials are wasted on the assigned part of the site.
  3. Staff Supervision: Assign responsibilities to on-site staff, supervise staff and non-staff attendance and productivity, and interface with sub-contractors to ensure compliance with the construction schedule.
  4. Project Planning: Assist with the preparation of construction schedules, manpower histograms, submittal logs, and drawing logs, and coordinate with Construction staff and Planning & Cost Control Units for initial project planning.
  5. Material Management: Interface with suppliers to verify materials received, issue material requisition forms, and oversee the purchase and delivery of required materials.
  6. Communication and Collaboration: Attend weekly meetings with Project Manager, Mechanical Manager, and Site Engineer(s) for a look-ahead plan, and interface with consultants/supervisors on site-related matters.

People Management:

  1. Task Assignment: Assign tasks and responsibilities to engineers and foremen as per directions of Project Manager/Mechanical Manager.
  2. Staff Recruitment and Development: Assist with the recruitment of staff and non-staff in the Mechanical department, and assist in the training and development of personnel in the Mechanical department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical), master's degree, and PMP will be a Plus.
  • Minimum Experience of 6 years in the Construction Industry.
  • Hands-on Industrial and commercial projects Execution, Good knowledge in common contract conditions format (FIDIC, JCT, Government, etc.), PMP Training, OSHA, computer skills (MS Project, Primavera), safety training, and communications skills in the English language (read, write and speak).
  • Leadership skills, Excellent communication skills, Confidence, Execution excellence, teamwork, process excellence, planning and organizing, quality, and problem-solving.
