Cloud Security Engineer for Scalable Infrastructure

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Design, Deploy, and Manage Secure Cloud Environments: Develop secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  2. Implement Cloud Security Measures: Protect data, applications, and infrastructure by implementing and maintaining cloud security measures, including firewalls and access controls.
  3. Conduct Security Assessments: Identify vulnerabilities and risks in the cloud environment through regular security assessments and reviews, using industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
  4. Collaborate with Development Teams: Integrate security into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring compliance with security policies and practices.
  5. Manage Identity and Access Controls: Configure network security, manage identity and access controls, and set up firewall settings in GCP, ensuring secure access to resources.
  6. Develop Disaster Recovery Plans: Create and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for GCP deployments, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  7. Monitor Security Incidents: Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and anomalies, responding quickly to security events and incidents.
  8. Stay Up-to-Date with Cloud Technology: Stay updated with the latest in cloud technology and security trends, advising on adopting new technologies and practices.
  9. Document Cloud Architectures: Document cloud architectures, procedures, and security measures, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, along with relevant experience in cloud computing.
  2. Professional Certification in GCP: Professional certification in GCP, such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified Professional Security Engineer, is highly desirable.
  3. 5+ Years of Experience in Cloud Computing: 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on GCP, is required.
  4. Strong Understanding of Cloud Security Principles: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, technologies, and practices, including encryption and access control.
  5. Experience with IaC Tools: Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager is required.
  6. Knowledge of Networking Technologies: Knowledge of networking, virtualization, and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  7. Familiarity with Security Standards: Familiarity with security standards and frameworks, including CIS Benchmarks and PCI-DSS.
  8. Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
