Job Description

The Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) is seeking an experienced Strategic Cost Management Professional to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring that costs are managed effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management & Reporting:
    • Develop and implement cost control procedures and best practices for projects, leveraging industry-leading tools such as Ecosys, CostX, and Oracle.
    • Review detailed cost estimates and support in developing cost baseline for projects using estimate to budget conversion, providing insights to project teams and management.
    • Monitor ongoing projects expenses and conduct regular cost forecasting to prompt potential deviations to the budget, collaborating with project managers to track and report on financial performance.
    • Analyze cost data and provide actionable recommendations to project teams and management, highlighting any variances, potential overruns, and recommended actions.
    • Evaluate contracts and terms with vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Risk Management:
    • Conduct risk analysis and advise on cost implications of project change, implementing cost risk management frameworks and tools for project teams to use in daily operations.
    • Ensure consistent risk reporting and a monthly risk meeting, including communicating major risks to senior leadership, promoting a culture of proactive risk identification and response within the project cost Control teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in finance and accounting.
  • 10-12 years of experience in Project's Cost Control, with at least three years in a management role, demonstrating expertise in portfolio management, including reporting and dashboard management.
  • Highly proficient with cost control tools and ERP systems, with deep exposure to Construction Cost Estimation being highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of project schedule methodologies, tools, and techniques, with certifications such as CCP being an advantage, showcasing expertise in project management principles, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and resource planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and transparent work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidates currently located in KSA with transferable iqama and ability to join immediately are preferred.
