Job Summary:
Eram Talent is seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team for a short-term engagement in the Oil & Energy sector. This critical role involves ensuring conformity with safety regulations, providing a safe working environment, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures to minimize risk.
- Provide safety training and orientations for new employees and contractors to ensure they understand and adhere to safety procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Actively promote safety awareness among all staff and subcontractors to create a culture of safety within the organization.
- Collaborate with the project management team to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of safety, preferably in the oil and gas or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices specific to Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve safety goals.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as required to ensure safety compliance.
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification is required.
