Job Summary:

Eram Talent is seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team for a short-term engagement in the Oil & Energy sector. This critical role involves ensuring conformity with safety regulations, providing a safe working environment, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures to minimize risk.
  • Provide safety training and orientations for new employees and contractors to ensure they understand and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Actively promote safety awareness among all staff and subcontractors to create a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of safety, preferably in the oil and gas or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices specific to Saudi Arabia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve safety goals.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required to ensure safety compliance.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification is required.
