Job Summary

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for overseeing the structural design process, technical analysis, and resolution of engineering problems. This role also involves supervising the documentation of structural drawings in coordination with architectural and MEP works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Structural Design Process: Oversee the development of design concepts, calculations, and detailed drawings for various building projects.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance and mentorship to structural engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural requirements seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Conduct Structural Analysis: Conduct structural analysis using advanced software tools to evaluate the performance and stability of building structures under various loading conditions.
  • Review and Approve Drawings: Review and approve structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Engineering Tasks: Manage and coordinate structural engineering tasks, schedules, and budgets to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Perform Site Visits: Perform site visits and inspections to assess construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Develop Innovative Solutions: Evaluate and recommend innovative structural solutions to optimize project performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
  • Facilitate Communication: Act as a technical liaison between the structural engineering team and other project disciplines, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of STAAD Software
  • Extensive Structural Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices for buildings, heavy civils, and infrastructure works.
  • Design and Drawing Skills: Knowledge in preparing reports, designs, and drawings.
  • Facade Engineering Experience: Good level of previous facade engineering design experience including analysis of structures and detailed design of elements in all major materials.
  • Project Management Skills: Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Structural Engineering Experience: Practical knowledge and ability in structural engineering design and construction.
  • Drafting Software Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting software.
  • Structural Engineering Experience: Extensive experience of structural engineering building design on multi-disciplinary building envelope projects.
  • ERP Knowledge: ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Civil Engineering.
