Responsibilities:

  • Selecting appropriate materials for pavement construction or rehabilitation, including asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and other additives.
  • Evaluating material properties and their suitability for specific projects.
  • Developing maintenance plans and strategies to prolong the lifespan of pavements.
  • Assessing existing pavements for repairs, rehabilitation, or reconstruction.
  • Recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Preparing technical reports, project documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project progress to stakeholders, clients, or regulatory authorities.
  • Addressing environmental impacts associated with pavement construction and maintenance.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state regulations, codes, and standards related to pavement design, construction, and maintenance.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong knowledge of pavement design and analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
