The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting project delivery. The role involves creating designs of various projects related to wet utilities and working on a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients/Lead Project Offices (LPOs).

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, calculates, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings related to wet utilities.
  • Performs pump system engineering calculations.
  • Conducts hydraulic modelling analysis for pressure and gravity networks.
  • Contributes to technical report writing and data/analysis summary tables and exhibits.
  • Develops design reports/specifications for various projects.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Participates in multi-discipline coordination with LPOs and clients.
  • Collaborates with teams using CDE- ProjectWise, BIM 360, MS Teams, SharePoint sites.
  • Resolves utility clashes and performs quality control checks.
  • Presents design solutions in meetings with clients/LPOs as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from a reputable institute.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Water & Wastewater Industry.
  • Proven experience in wet utilities design - Storm water, Wastewater, Potable water, and TSE for the UK, Middle East, and other regions.
  • Proficient in software like Microdrainage, CivilStorm, Sewergems/Watergems, etc.
  • Knowledge of BIM platforms like Civil3D, Microstation, and/or Open Roads/Inroads/MX Road, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
  • Familiarity with International Standards and Middle East Standards.
  • Experience in leading and delivering major infrastructure projects at master plan, concept, and detailed design stages.
