Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Cargo Manager to support the growth and development of our project forwarding business.

About the Role
  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with local operation departments, identifying new business targets, and engaging with service providers.
  2. They will also explore opportunities for improvement, report on progress, and counsel staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the project cargo business within the district.
  • Coordinate with local operations and central teams to execute special cargo movements and tenders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the project forwarding industry.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with service providers and vendors.
  • Drive process improvements and recommend changes to product management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including quote status and revenue growth.
  • Counsel and mentor staff to enhance their professional development and branch performance.
  • Source and manage local vendors to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of project cargo regulations, permits, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project-related roles.
  • 7+ years of handling oversized or overweight cargo via various modes of transport.
  • Established network of contacts within the project industry.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy, commercial awareness, and geographic knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of governmental regulations, permits, and procedures related to project movement.
