Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategies to improve systems operations and drive continual improvement through tool building and automation.
  2. Lead incident management processes and coordinate cross-team responses to service outages.
  3. Hire and develop top-notch Engineers at AWS by leveraging your technical expertise to identify outcomes, design project plans, and drive actions to build the technical acumen of the team.
  4. Establish and maintain operational excellence standards.
  5. Collaborate with software development teams to drive root cause analyses and improve operational performance.
  6. Report on the health of services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering and administration, focusing on networking, storage systems, operating systems.
  • 2+ years of experience as a systems engineering and operations leader in a 24x7 environment.
  • Australian citizenship and ability to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance are required.
