Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all electrical and mechanical equipment, including general building works.
  2. Supervise maintenance employees and contractors who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations.
  3. Write specifications for all electrical, mechanical and associated building works, complying with local government regulations.
  4. Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to prioritize all electrical and mechanical projects.
  5. Advise the Chief Engineer on health and safety matters related to electricity and work regulations.
  6. Liaise with local government authorities as necessary.
  7. Oversee the general maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the hotel and report any major defects to the Chief Engineer.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering and at least three years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry. You should also have a good command of written and spoken English and the ability to find fault and rectify subsystems.
