About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Design (Roads and Highways) to join our team. As a Senior Project Manager - Design (Roads & Highways), you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design and development of various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire design process from conceptualization to execution for roads and highways infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and create innovative design solutions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with consultants and adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Lead the team to ensure design deliverables meet contract and program requirements.
  • Coordinate design and construction work with other projects in the delivery program.
  • Conduct regular design review meetings and provide technical guidance to clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identify and resolve design-related challenges, and report on these.
  • Efficiently manage and maintain project documentation, including design records, change orders, and approvals.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and integration of design elements.
  • Compile and present reports on designs, design reviews, cost analysis, and project tasks.
  • Setup and chair meetings with clients, consultants, design teams, and stakeholders, capturing meeting minutes as necessary.
  • Oversee and manage project interfaces within the delivery program.

Requirements:

  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is necessary.
  • An Engineering Master's degree is desirable.
  • Registration as a Chartered Civil Engineer is necessary.
  • At least 15 years of experience in roads and highways engineering, design, project management, and staff coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, techniques, and best practices related to road and highways infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience in geometric design, traffic engineering design, and pavement design for roads and highways infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software and related tools.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Diverse experience working in large-scale design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
