We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Asterix Communications. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of our order projects, ensuring the successful delivery of electrical systems for rotating equipment packages.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Project Management: Own the technical scope of order projects, managing the electrical system technical scope for rotating equipment packages, including centrifugal compressor packaging and assembly of large gas turbines.
- Electrical System Design: Translate project-released electrical BOMs to RFQs, coordinate with suppliers for technical clarifications and final component selection during procurement processes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and documentation for designs, testing protocols, and project conclusions.
- Design and Drawing: Build drawings of single-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and layouts as per project requirements.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE/IEC/ATEX), safety laws, and environmental policies.
- Communication and Teamwork: Support project managers in internal and external meetings, operational activities, including production planning, disposition, and correction of non-conformances, and evaluation of supplier user documentation.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise production technical staff as needed during compressor/gas turbine packaging/assembly works, provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Quality and Customer Satisfaction: Address immediate concerns or discrepancies from customer inspectors during inspection, collaborating with the QC team to find quick resolutions.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter & NX, and other electrical design software.
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power generation, oil refinery, or similar industrial organization.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and logical problem-solving approach, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot sophisticated technical issues.
- Travel: The expectation of at least 20% travel.
- Compliance: Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with the departmental processes for technical scope control, quality, and health & safety.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality in work deliverables.
- Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently with minimal direction, as well as part of a team.
