As a Senior Risk Manager at Mace, you will play a crucial role in harnessing our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential of every project.

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. The project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure. As Programme Management for this project, we are seeking high-calibre, experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase.

The role involves managing and may leading the implementation and delivery of a range of risk services to support commissions and to provide line management leadership and guidance for others within the PMO and planning centre of excellence and assigned hub as required.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Risk management performance of assigned commission(s).
  • Creating/designing effective risk management framework(s)/strategies on assigned commission(s).
  • Managing and directing clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on assigned commission(s) on all risk management matters.
  • Partnering with clients, meeting their expectations and building strong professional relationships.
  • Providing expert advice and support to project/programme teams in the administration of the risk process, particularly with respect to the risks to achievement of key project objectives and escalation of risks.
  • Facilitating and driving the delivery of risk workshops.
  • Working with project managers to recognise opportunities and mitigations to minimise risk exposure.
  • Ensuring risk mitigation action plans are developed, risk and action owners appointed, and that project plans are updated accordingly and monitored.
  • Directing the delivery of project/programme quantitative risk analysis (cost and time).
  • Commenting on the adequacy of contingency as part of the regular reporting cycle as required.
  • Developing and delivering monthly risk reports, externally to the client and internally to the project team.
  • Ensures all activities and operations are carried out in line with the Mace control centre, client requirements and prevailing legislation.
  • Providing line management to the team and other project/programme members.
  • Utilising expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of junior members of the risk team.
  • Managing the integration of risk with PMO and planning disciplines.
  • Supporting the hub risk lead with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of a net zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
