Job Description

As a Metabolic Biochemical Geneticist, you will play a key role in the development of clinical metabolic biochemical genetics services. You will work closely with physicians and patients to provide diagnostic and consultative services, and evaluate, update, and develop new laboratory tests/techniques to ensure the highest level of quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides expert biochemical molecular genetics care to patients.
  • Evaluates, updates, and develops new laboratory tests/techniques in clinical metabolic biochemical genetics molecular/genomic related to metabolic pathology.
  • Familiar with molecular techniques and related bioinformatic analysis of metabolic biochemical genetics.


Essential Skills and Qualifications

Education:
  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in specialty and/or subspecialty.
  • American Board/MRCPCH-Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy/SCR Holland/Swedish Board/German Facharzt/Austrian Facharzt/CCST UK/Saudi Board/Arab Board & sub-board/Fellowship.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a CAP accredited laboratory after Ph.D. certification; this may include subspecialty training in metabolic biochemical genetic services.
