The Opportunity

This role offers a chance to develop your skills as a Junior Interior Designer, working closely with our experienced team to deliver innovative designs for our residential projects. As a key contributor, you'll be responsible for designing captivating spaces, collaborating with external experts, and ensuring seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Design programming for Schematic Design (SD) and Design Development (DD)
  • Leadership meeting attendance for design intent alignment
  • Common area design coordination with operations teams
  • Specification schedules maintenance for design elements
  • Vendor communication for pricing, lead times, and discounts
  • Project sample organization and design library management
  • Mood board and design material maintenance for each project
  • Cost-saving design research and implementation
  • Architect collaboration on SD & DD sets
  • Revit model and drawing creation for approved programming
  • Draft submission for operations and design approval
  • Architect SD & DD review for brand and programming alignment
  • Construction Manager coordination on design budgets and timelines
  • Project timeline, quantity, and delivery schedule management
  • Sample request follow-up, order reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
  • Purchase order and specification accuracy assurance
  • Supplier and delivery issue resolution and invoice submission
  • External presentation lead with mood boards, 3D models, renderings, and CAD drawings
  • Design work presentation for internal and external audiences
  • Technical drawing creation, including FF&E specs, material schedules, and budgets
  • Document review for brand consistency and technical accuracy
  • Design coordination oversight with the team, consultants, and vendors
  • Construction administration task supervision (RFIs, submittals, punch lists)
  • Design Manager collaboration on scope, budget, and schedule
  • Culture promotion of design excellence and creativity within the team
