Woodworking Craftsman

We are looking for a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.

• Maintenance and Repair Works: Perform routine maintenance and repairs as required
• Day-to-Day Maintenance: Carry out maintenance within the hotel building where problems of a carpentry nature occur
• Cabinet and Shelving Construction: Fix shelving and cabinet construction
• Locks and Windows: Fix door locks and security items, as well as various types of windows and glazing
• Woodworking Machinery: Partition woodworking machinery and perform minimal general building work
• Repair and Replacement: Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools
• Finishing Surfaces: Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, hand tools, and paneling
• Plaster Work: Fill cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool
• Safety and Environment: Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Policies and Procedures: Comply with the hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
