Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting
  • Reviews the detailed instructions for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing for all departments, and monitors closing process.
  • Monitors all financial aspects of Projects to provide timely and accurate financial information, along with necessary analysis to senior management.
Accounting and Reconciliation
  • Reviews the reconciliation with the sub/ledger, HR, AR, AP Assets, and inventory.
Accounting Policies and Procedures
  • Ensures implementation of accounting policies and procedures and standardizes reporting templates to ensure compliance with relevant procedural and legal requirements.
Accounting Issues and Queries
  • Ensures effective resolution of accounting issues and queries in a timely and efficient manner.
Financial Insights and Analysis
  • Supervises accounting information and provides insights to support management decision-making.
Accounting Process Improvement
  • Provides feedback for accounting process activities to increase their effectiveness and ensure timeliness and accuracy of accounting records.
Financial Statement Preparation
  • Participates in developing a consolidated financial statement in accordance with accounting standards.
Operating Revenue and Expenses
  • Monitors, reviews, and analyzes all operating revenue, expenses & collection data which affect accounts receivable/payable.
Accounting Reports and Compliance
  • Supervises all routine and non-routine reports to ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
Financial Statement Disclosures
  • Reviews monthly trial balance and prepares the variance analysis.
Financial Reporting and Documentation
  • Contributes in preparing and documenting monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports of different stakeholders including financial statement disclosures on local IFRS.
Consolidated Financial Statement
  • Contributes in producing a consolidated financial statement in accordance with accounting and CMA standards and regulations.
Account Reconciliation and Compliance
  • Reconciles various accounts and account balances with the general ledger and reviews the compliance of depreciation charge of assets with the policy & procedures.
Operating Revenue and Expenses Analysis
  • Analyzes all operating revenue, expenses & collection data which affect accounts receivable/payable.
Accruals and Prepayments
  • Prepares accruals and prepayments calculations and accounting for all sirar by stc sectors.
Unreconciled Amounts
  • Follows up with related departments to monitor unreconciled amounts.
Withholding Tax and VAT
  • Reviews the preparation of the monthly withholding tax, VAT return, and Zakat with the regulatory requirement.
Assets Management
  • Reviews assets management transactions recorded as per accounting standards and the company's policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting.

Professional Certificate Preferred

Professional certification such as CPA or SOCPA is preferred.

Years of Experience

  • 3 - 5 years in relevant experience.

Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in financial and accounting practices, issues, policies, and standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in business acumen.
  • Basic proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Intermediate proficiency in financial reporting.
